We are seeking a motivated, self-directed, industrious and innovative person to join our team. The Medical Assistant role is a 12-month position and will report to the Assistant Nurse Manager. The Medical Assistant role will perform laboratory responsibilities under the direction of the Medical Director, Nurse Manager and Assistant Nurse Manager, including specimen collection and processing, routine quality control testing, performance of CLIA-waived testing and documentation of results into EMR. This position will assist with general clinical patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of practice as defined by New York State law, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician. The MA will primarily work Monday through Friday with a rotating Saturday shift.
