Description
The medical laboratory technician is responsible for the laboratory, to include the collection and processing of all specimens, maintenance of equipment, ordering and inventory of supplies, completion of laboratory requisitions, and following procedures in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA), and other applicable standards. They are expected to maintain quality and efficiency of laboratory services.
Job Hours:
Hours: Monday - Thursday - 9:00am -6:00pm / Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
*Required to fill-in for other medical laboratory technicians when needed.

Examples of Duties
- Performs in-house laboratory testing.
- Maintain logbooks and records laboratory test sent out, tracking results.
- Performs proficiency testing on laboratory equipment as indicated; maintains log of proficiency testing results.
