The Medical Technologist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests as ordered by the medical staff in a CLIA licensed and COLA accredited laboratory. Candidates must be certified through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or other recognized National Certification agency.

Primary Job Duties

• Performs waived and moderately complex laboratory tests and procedures
• Utilizes the electronic Medical Record and Laboratory Information Systems
• Specimen collection including phlebotomy
• Assists with Laboratory Procurement and Inventory control
• Laboratory Safety Officer
• Supports the accreditation activities per the standards of CLIA, COLA, and AAAHC
