As the Creative Content Producer at Melbourne Connect, you'll play a pivotal role in showcasing The University of Melbourne's pioneering innovation ecosystem to national and global audiences. You'll create compelling multimedia content that brings to life the precinct's world-class research, industry partnerships, and technological breakthroughs. This role offers the opportunity to shape the narrative of Australia's leading innovation hub, collaborate with top researchers and industry leaders, and contribute to solutions for pressing global challenges through powerful storytelling.Your responsibilities will include:
- Content Strategy: Shape the development and delivery of a comprehensive content strategy across all Melbourne Connect channels.
- Multimedia Production: Create high-quality written, visual, and video content that showcases innovation and impact.
- Digital Management: Oversee website and community intranet content, ensuring an engaging and up-to-date digital presence.
- Campaign Support: Produce targeted content for key initiatives, including tenancy attraction and event promotion.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with researchers, industry partners, and internal teams to identify and create compelling stories.

You are a versatile content creator with a passion for innovation and technology, possessing excellent storytelling skills across multiple media formats and the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging content for diverse audiences.You may also:
- Hold a qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field with substantial content production experience.
- Demonstrate proven expertise in planning and delivering content across multiple platforms.
- Show strong skills in writing, photography, videography, and graphic design.
- Have experience managing content workflows independently and collaboratively.
- Possess advanced skills in relevant software, including CMS platforms and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exhibit knowledge of current trends in digital content and audience engagement.
- Show experience working with diverse stakeholders in complex organisations.
- Demonstrate ability to translate complex research into clear, engaging content (desirable).
- Have knowledge of digital accessibility and inclusive content best practices (desirable).

The Chancellery Research and Enterprise portfolio is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and works across a number of areas including:- Research and research training strategy
- Research partnerships and collaborations, including industry, government, research organisations and institutes – both domestically and internationally
- Research infrastructure, including cross-Faculty, whole-of-University, and interdisciplinary research initiatives, including implementation of key strategic initiatives
- Research performance and impact, including research metrics, research rankings and government-sponsored exercises
- Research systems strategy (how our enterprise systems support the business of research)
- Research ethics and integrity, including consideration of research misconduct

Working at the University – what you need to know
This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a Working with Children Check (WWCC).The successful candidate can apply for the WWCC as part of the onboarding process. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
