Mental Health Provider, Multilingual
Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Mental Health Leadership Team Member, the Mental Health Provider, Multilingual will provide mental health services in an integrated health care agency serving UW-Madison students across identities and programs.
Principal Duties
- Provides individual and group therapy services
- Participates in the provision of clinical crisis services and on-call mental health services (during business hours)
- Provides campus-based services/outreach including programming and consultation
- Responds to campus crises
- Engages in caseload management consistent with short-term counseling to balance new and ongoing client needs
- Effectively provides clinical services aligned with best practices and ethical standards for individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provides individual and group counseling to students struggling with developmental and/or personal mental health issues and refers students to appropriate community resources
- Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Prepares presentations and outreach activities and facilitates student adjustment and success programs to promote a healthy campus
- Provides individual and group counseling in Spanish
- Facilitates psycho-educational and process-oriented groups
- Delivers crisis intervention, including regular on-call shifts and additional on call coverage when needed
- Provides counseling and/or information and referral services to faculty and staff
- Provides translation of mental health documents
- Serves on multidisciplinary campus committees
