Mental Health Provider, Multilingual

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Mental Health Leadership Team Member, the Mental Health Provider, Multilingual will provide mental health services in an integrated health care agency serving UW-Madison students across identities and programs.

Principal Duties

1. Provides individual and group therapy services
2. Participates in the provision of clinical crisis services and on-call mental health services (during business hours)
3. Provides campus-based services/outreach including programming and consultation
4. Responds to campus crises
5. Engages in caseload management consistent with short-term counseling to balance new and ongoing client needs
6. Effectively provides clinical services aligned with best practices and ethical standards for individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences

Key Job Responsibilities

• Provides individual and group counseling to students struggling with developmental and/or personal mental health issues and refers students to appropriate community resources
• Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Prepares presentations and outreach activities and facilitates student adjustment and success programs to promote a healthy campus
• Provides individual and group counseling in Spanish
• Facilitates psycho-educational and process-oriented groups
• Delivers crisis intervention, including regular on-call shifts and additional on call coverage when needed
• Provides counseling and/or information and referral services to faculty and staff
• Provides translation of mental health documents
• Serves on multidisciplinary campus committees
