About the opportunity:

The University of Canberra is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Midwifery Practice Coordinator to play a key role in supporting high-quality, student-centred clinical education within our Midwifery program.

In this role you will provide student-centred leadership for clinical education, working closely with midwifery unit convenors to ensure students have access to quality placements and the support they need to thrive. You will also work in collaboration with the Placement Office, Practice Support Midwives, clinical facilitators, and midwifery educators to deliver meaningful learning experiences that meet NMBA RM Standards for Practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordination of the Discipline of Midwifery clinical education program.
  • Grow the number and diversity of placements available for midwifery students including placements in interprofessional settings and teams.
  • Monitor and respond to issues that arise regarding the quality of clinical placements.

About you:

You are an AHPRA-registered (unconditional) Midwife who is passionate about clinical education and student success. You bring strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, and have commenced or completed a relevant postgraduate qualification.
