Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Military Emerging Technologies Consultant. The key responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and stakeholders to review and enhance the DFRW curriculum, focusing on the integration of technology and AI tools relevant to future officers. This involves providing insights on effective use of emerging tech in the military, developing content for tabletop exercises, advising on the incorporation of key concepts into the curriculum, and supporting the implementation of a large-scale emerging tech exercise for senior cadets. Regular participation in virtual meetings is essential for discussing progress and sharing insights. Additionally, conducting comprehensive content reviews, offering feedback to instructors, and communicating strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement will be important.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty and stakeholders to assess the current DFRW curriculum and identify areas for improvement. Design and recommend new exercises, content, and instructional strategies that incorporate technology and AI tools relevant to modern officer preparation. Support and advise DFRW leadership as these recommendations are combined into tabletop and other dynamic exercises.
- Best Practices in Officer Development: Provide insights on effective methodologies and engagement strategies.
- Integration: Advise on the integration of emerging technology and military concepts into the curriculum. Recommend tools and resources that enhance teaching and learning experiences in a digital format.
- Virtual Meetings: Participate in regular virtual meetings throughout the academic year to discuss progress, share insights, and collaborate with university faculty and staff.
- Implementation: Attend the implementation of the tabletop and dynamic exercise in person.
- Report: Write a report outlining strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement for the full DFRW experience. Describe recommendations for future scalability of this model across other ROTC programs or SMCs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
