Job Description
The mission of the department is to provide support to current and prospective students as well as to facilitate efficient pathways for secondary students to earn college credit. The department is dedicated to working on issues of equity and inclusivity of diverse populations. This role will work to ensure the inclusion and participation of underserved populations and non-traditional aged students.
Reporting to the Dean of Community Partnerships & Student Success, the Student Engagement and Compliance Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for student engagement activities, career development programming, and Title IX compliance. The role fosters a safe, inclusive, and vibrant campus environment by developing student life initiatives, supporting career readiness, and ensuring compliance with Title IX and related regulations.
Salary Range:
$25.67 - $37.26/hour
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of relevant experience in student services, compliance or related field. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 12 months of experience and an associate's degree may substitute for 6 months of experience.
- Ability to interpret institutional, state, and federal policies or regulations and translate them into supportive procedures and processes.
- Communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships between college personnel and external stakeholders
- Experience working with students from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds and with varied needs and ability to maintain confidentiality while doing so.
- Experience planning and organizing multiple activities, delivering results, and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in a work environment in which maintaining confidentiality was critical.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (higher education, student personnel, political science, communications, counseling, etc.).
- Experience working in career development programming and/or student activities coordination.
- Training in trauma-informed practices and culturally competent service delivery.
- Experience developing and delivering training that engages learners and achieves learning objectives.
- Knowledge of Title IX regulations and student development principles
