About Our Department:The Institute of Biomedical and Oral Research, housed within the Faculty of Dental Medicine, stands at the forefront of translational science. Our department fosters collaborative research that spans from basic science to clinical applications. About Our Research: The translational Social, Cognitive, and Affective Neuroscience (tSCAN) lab is dedicated to primary research focused on bio-psycho-social mechanisms as they manifest at the intersection of psychopathological and chronic pain conditions, such as Trauma and Fibromyalgia. To address these issues, we use a combination of methods from cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, psychophysiology, and health informatics, while integrating perspectives from emotion science, social and health psychology, psychiatry and pain medicine, and more.
Job Description: Contribute to various research projects that may include working directly with clinical populations, using unique neuro-physiological technologies, developing data science skills, writing and presenting findings (for peer-reviewed scientific journals, oral presentations), interacting with additional students and researchers in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual bio-medical environment.
About Your Supervisor: Dr. Gadi Gilam is a distinguished researcher and the driving force behind the tSCAN lab. His work in social, cognitive, and affective neuroscience has significantly shed light on how pain and emotions interact within various clinical populations. With extensive expertise in neuroimaging, psychophysiology, and computational approaches, Dr. Gilam is renowned for his collaborative leadership and commitment to mentoring emerging scientists in a rigorous and supportive environment.

Your Profile (To excel in this role, we seek candidates with):
- Bachelor’s degree in either Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Cognitive Sciences, Neuroscience, Computational Sciences, or other related disciplines, from a recognized academic institution. Excellent GPA.
- English proficiency.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Prior research experience and familiarity with statistical software and/or programming is an advantage.
