Position Summary

The Museum Shop Associate supports the daily operations of the museum retail shop while delivering exceptional customer service to museum visitors. This position serves as a welcoming point of contact for guests, assists with retail transactions, and supports merchandising, inventory, and general shop operations.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service/cashier experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask.

Duties/Responsibilities

60% - Greet and welcome visitors; provide customer service; operate POS system; maintain knowledge of museum offerings; promote memberships; resolve concerns; foster inclusive environment; answer phone.

40% - Maintain shop environment; restock and merchandise; monitor inventory; assist with shipments; participate in inventory counts; follow loss prevention procedures; collaborate with staff.
