About the Role

You will be responsible for conducting testing and quality assurance to ensure that new or modified products and services meet defined requirements. The role will include manual functional testing, executing and debugging automated tests, and tracking and resolving defects with developers and stakeholders. Additionally, the role contributes to test strategy development, improves testing standards, and communicates with stakeholders to address risks, issues, and dependencies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing manual functional testing, creating and executing test deliverables, and debugging automation test scripts as required
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing testing assets, standards, and best practices, ensuring effective integration and manual system testing
  • Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to provide expert advice on testing activities, managing regression testing, and reporting outcomes
  • Continuously updating skills, taking ownership of personal learning, and supporting the development of others through knowledge sharing

Who we are looking for

You will have experience in test configuration and test data management, strong verbal communication skills adaptable to diverse stakeholders, and a self-driven, open learning mindset with strong facilitation abilities. Your ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform well under pressure, ensuring tasks are successfully completed, is essential.

You will also have:

  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training in Testing
  • Qualifications in IT, Business or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education
  • Extensive experience in identifying application issues both functionally and technically and knowledge in creation of complex SQL queries to support the analysis of application issues

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
