Duties & Responsibilities:
Configure and support campus-wide wired/wireless infrastructure, including Aruba, HP, Cisco, Dell, and ALE equipment; manage VLANs, ACLs, QoS, and port configurations. Monitor and manage DNS, DHCP, Network Access Control, AD Integration, and firewall configurations; enforce segmentation, traffic policies, and ISP configurations. Lead day-to-day operations, including adds/moves/changes for network access points, peripherals, VOIP handsets, and security appliances. Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams on vulnerability management, patch deployment, and zero-trust enforcement.Acts as a consultant for other network and application technologies, while also serving as a liaison on committees, task forces, evaluation groups, and negotiations related to associated projects.Maintain and utilize DCIM tools to ensure physical security, compliance, and documentation across all locations. Document infrastructure changes, generate network topology diagrams, and contribute to incident response and audit preparation. Actively participates in training and professional development classes to enhance skills and knowledge.Actively engages in MSU technical and progress committee meetings through participation and contribution.Other duties as assigned.About Morgan State University
