Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

University Health Services is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a primary care-focused role providing care to UW-Madison students in a collaborative, team-based setting. This 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) position supports our mission to promote, protect, and improve student health and well-being.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Educates patients and their support systems on how to manage conditions and to promote the health and well-being of patients and those around them
• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats illnesses, and manages chronic health problems
• May provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students
• Develops, implements, collects data, and evaluates primary health care services as directed by individual care plans
• Develops individualized care plans based on medical assessments in accordance with medical best practices and established rules and regulations
