Nurse Practitioner
Job Description Summary
The Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care in a primary care setting with a strong emphasis on gynecologic and sexual/reproductive health services to students and other patients of Student Health and Counseling. This position requires advanced clinical expertise in sexual health and gynecologic care with a balance of primary care skills. Ability to efficiently manage a busy appointment schedule is a requirement. Individual must be familiar with a multicultural and diverse patient population. Candidate must be willing to work collaboratively, cooperatively and efficiently with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other allied health professionals. Position is required to maintain a weekly schedule including evenings and weekends and a rotating on schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical care to patients.
- Provide clinical consultation and triage, both in person and on the phone for acute medical needs.
- Manage patients with unique and complex health conditions - refer patients to appropriate specialty care and coordinate follow up as appropriate.
- Participate in evening and weekend clinical schedule.
- Participate in physicals, travel and other extended clinical services.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- MSN required; 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience, ideally including gynecologic and sexual health care.
- Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or licensed Advanced Practice Nurse with demonstrated experience in gynecologic care.
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- PA Controlled Substance License and Federal DEA registration.
- Demonstrated experience in providing sexual and reproductive health services.
- Experience working with a diverse college-aged population strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records preferred.

$91,000.00 - $133,000.00 Annual Rate
