Nursing Assistant, Full-time / Part-time / Per Diem/ Day and Night Shifts

Position Summary:

The Nurse Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the directions and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Our current hospital will remain fully operational until the transition to the new facility is complete, ensuring continuity of care and training throughout the move.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (feeding, toileting, hygiene)
• Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Answer phones and call lights
• Ensure units are stocked with supplies
• Assist patient transport as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational Requirements: Minimum High School diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Vocational diploma - Certified Nurse Assistant preferred.

Experience: 6 months to 1 year work related experience preferred. Positive attitude and experience working in a collaborative environment.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare provider from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Valid and active Certified Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
