and external customers, which requires considerable tact and diplomacy. This is a part-time (10-months, 25 hours/ week) position (mid August through mid June). Responsibilities: 1. Provides front-line customer service to guests in the nursing department, including answering telephones and emails, and greeting guests. 2. Assists with student files and relative information. 3. Assists with files, scans, updates, and assures the integrity of student records. 4. Distributes Clinical Instructor evaluations. 5. Assists with administrative support. 6. Assists with acquiring data, prepares and submits reports/ surveys. 7. Assists with maintaining the departmental information on the nursing web site. 8. Reviews materials for accuracy. 9. Supportss nursing department faculty. 10. Coordinates large internal and external meetings. May attend meetings in capacity of recording secretary. 11. Assists in special projects. 12. Perform miscellaneous clerical duties, including collating, sorting, scanning, faxing, filing, and distributing and retrieving documents and mail. 13. Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: Associate's degree. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to write concisely, to express thoughts clearly and to develop ideas in logical sequence. Ability to communicate effectively in oral expression. Ability to deal tactfully with others. Ability to exercise sound judgment. Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Ability to work well under pressure. Experience with Colleague/Datatel. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Access, Excel, and Word. 3 years of full-time experience in office management Bachelor's degree.
