Description of Work:
This position is responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services in accordance with university policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives. Leads all aspects of occupational health services for animal care staff, research faculty, and students involved in research.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, Diploma or BSN from an accredited college or university in nursing required and one year of relevant experience.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Intermediate computer skills are essential in use of electronic records.
- Must be detail oriented, have ability to multitask and possess great interpersonal skills.
- Must travel to other locations to assist with audits, training, and evaluations of facilitates.
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Nebraska.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year or more of experience supporting a respiratory protection or hearing conservation program.
- Experience administering a comprehensive occupation health and safety program for faculty, research staff, and animal users.
- Experience with hearing protection and respiratory protection programs.
- Certified as occupational health nurse or case manager.
Posted Salary: $58,240/yr. minimum
