The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join our friendly and welcoming community as Office Co-ordinator. The post holder will be embedded into ODID’s culture and will be a catalyst for it, leading on a series of initiatives across the department. The successful candidate will also provide proactive administrative support and will have responsibility for a wide range of processes on behalf of the Head of Department and Head of Administration and Finance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the Department to ensure a smooth running of the processes, and will deal with a wide range of matters, including highly confidential and time sensitive, while demonstrating initiative, sound judgement, and professionalism. The role also includes the coordination of reception roles and acting as Departmental Safety Officer. The postholder will have a good general standard of education at A level or equivalent experience. They will have a strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence to a high standard of English. They will also a general understanding of Health and Safety requirements and willingness to learn about and expand on this area of expertise.
This is a mainly office‑based, full‑time post, and it is offered on a permanent basis.
