Office Manager (Human Resources Office)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Office Manager to join our Human Resources (HR) team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the HR office while providing support in managing HR-related activities and special event planning. The office manager for human resources is responsible for the operational aspects of fiscal, purchasing, employment and payroll administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators
- Prepares, submits, summarizes and communicates budget information for the assigned area
- Prepares and maintains internal accounting records and other duties related to fiscal administration, including receiving purchase orders, maintaining p-card information, and reconciling purchases
- Establishes and maintains systems for administration of academic records for the area, including electronic files, records, and databases
- Arranges and coordinates travel for department staff, faculty, incoming guests, and speakers
- Fulfills purchasing requirements for assigned areas
- Maintains data entry for University systems
- Manages HR-related administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining HR documentation
- Coordinates HR supplies, equipment, and office space needs
- Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of company events, such as team-building activities, holiday parties, and employee recognition events
- Manages event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and event materials
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office or administrative capacity. Experience working effectively with diverse populations and using critical thinking skills preferred.
