We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's diverse student body as a One Year Appointment Lecturer of the University College beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year.
The University College at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is seeking applications for a Lecturer I in UNIV 1301 Foundations of Success and UNIV 1101 Academic & Career Success. This first-year course, which is a part of UTRGV's Student Success and Retention Initiatives, focuses on research-based findings on the application of learning and motivation.
The position is a one-year appointment beginning in the Fall of 2025. The selected applicant(s) will teach multiple sections of UNIV 1301 Foundations of Success and/or UNIV 1101 Academic & Career Success using research-based teaching methodologies. The applicant(s) will also serve on program and university committees, maintain appropriate office hours, and fulfill other responsibilities required of a lecturer at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must have a Master's degree, demonstrated knowledge of best practices in teaching, and one year of experience working with students is required.
