Salary Range: Up to $58,900/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Details

Job Summary

The Enrollment Counselor is part of a team responsible for the overall operation and management of recruitment and enrollment activity for online students (i.e., marketing, advising, admissions, registrar, college, fiscal, etc.). Enrollment Counselors strive to provide each online student with a welcoming experience that assists in building their connection to the university and establishing their identity as a member of the Roadrunner Family. The Enrollment Counselor will provide logistical and personnel support for the enrollment of online undergraduate students.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Executes effective pipeline management of around 175-200 students following a prescribed call, text, and email plan.
  2. Navigates UT San Antonio's online enrollment process and qualifying features.
  3. Advises prospective students on the requirements and the procedures for the admissions process via telephone, email, and text.
  4. Informs and counsels students about services available and assesses their student needs.
  5. Effectively navigates through and maintains UT San Antonio online customer relationship management system (Salesforce) and automated phone system (dialer).
  6. Aids and support to new hires via shadowing.
  7. Schedules workflow to ensure accurate phone coverage.
  8. Monitors priority of calls and shifts escalated calls to assure resolution to problems.
  9. Makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Participates in weekly meetings with the Manager of Online Enrollment and/or Assistant Director of Online Enrollment to identify lead quality, tech issues, etc.
  11. Participates in weekly coaching sessions with the Coach/Manager to assess skills.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • One (1) year of related work experience.
  • At the discretion of the hiring department, additional education may substitute for experience on a one year for one year basis.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
