Job Summary:
The Division of Medical Oncology is searching for an MD whose primary site of practice will be Highlands Ranch Medical Center (both inpatient and outpatient) with some cross coverage of Lone Tree Medical Center and possibly Cherry Creek Medical Center. There will be inpatient rounding 2-4 days per week at Highlands Ranch Hospital with assistance from an APP. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic who is a team player. We have developed a strong hard-working team who covers for each other and are invested in the program and the patients. We are striving to maintain that energy and value system. The mission of our center is to deliver high-quality, multidisciplinary hematology and oncology care in and patient friendly manner. We offer cutting edge technology and clinical trials in a community setting. The Highlands Ranch Medical Center is a multispecialty building and offers an on-site infusion center, blood bank, diagnostic laboratory and radiology services (including MRI, CT and PET/CT), a breast center, and multiple specialties including radiation oncology, surgery (general, ENT, breast, urologic, plastics), gastroenterology (with endoscopy suites). We are connected to a 75-bed hospital and admit our oncology patients with the help of our very capable hospitalist team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical work seeing patients daily and covering the infusion center on a rotating basis during clinic days; Working with Oncology APPs (NPs or PAs) in clinic;
- 1:6 call coverage for community practice patients and Highlands Ranch Hospital;
- Work w/Service Line Director to expand the cancer practice;
- Attend Multi-Departmental Clinics & CME conferences regularly; Attend oncology service line meetings; clinical trial meetings;
- Assist with investigator-initiated, cooperative group/industry trials;
- Lead and participate in clinical quality improvement projects including management of critical pathway & case management across the continuum of care;
- Team member providing healthcare, interacting w/professional colleagues in a multidisciplinary fashion to provide comprehensive care as a responsible professional;
- Attend via conference call monthly Clinical Affairs meetings, weekly tumor boards, present Fellows Conference 1/year, assist with Fellows interviews, work with Administrator on clinical data & other duties as assigned by Medical Director at Highlands Ranch and/or Division Head;
- Maintain accurate, legible, & confidential records using the UCH EPIC system.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor
- Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution
- Board certified in Oncology or Hematology
Associate Professor
- Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution
- Board certified in Oncology or Hematology
- 4-8+ years' experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years' experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.

Anticipated Pay Range:
HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $350,000 to $400,000
Associate Professor: $400,000 to $500,000
