Responsibilities
- Teaching graduate courses in physical therapy within the one’s area of expertise
- Conducting, publishing, and presenting scholarly work; pursuing extramural funding
- Advising and mentoring students; contributing to student recruitment initiatives
- Collaborating with faculty
- Participating in curriculum development and program/curriculum assessment
- Providing service to the Department, University, and community
- Demonstrated effective teaching practices including ability to create experiential learning opportunities
- Actively engage in program-related student and community activities
Qualifications
- Eligibility for physical therapy licensure in Alabama
- Academic doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D. or D.Sc.) in physical therapy or a related field at the time of appointment
- Board certification in a clinical specialty with two (2) or more years of didactic teaching experience
