Job Description

The Operations and Logistics Assistant – Asset Management plays a vital role in supporting the logistical, inventory, and administrative functions of the Facilities Management department. Under the direction of the Property Control Supervisor, this position assists with the receipt, storage, distribution, and tracking of campus materials and equipment. Additionally, the role supports campus mail services, inventory management, and the coordination of day-to-day operational tasks across university facilities. The incumbent will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate delivery, timely documentation, and efficient logistics that contribute to the smooth operation of campus services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Control Supervisor in daily operational and logistical tasks related to asset management and facilities support.
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments and materials for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Tag, label, and record university property and equipment for inventory tracking.
  • Fulfil and deliver materials, supplies, and mail to designated departments across campus.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels; conduct periodic physical inventory audits and updates.
  • Support the organization and cleanliness of storage and distribution areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Operate warehouse and mailroom equipment such as postage meters, hand trucks, and barcode scanners.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare basic logs, delivery confirmations, and chargeback documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for special projects, inventory reconciliation, surplus processing, and related facilities operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal departments regarding supply and delivery requests.
  • Uphold university standards for safety, compliance, and customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned
