Position Summary
Provides administrative and technical support to an ophthalmologist in a clinical setting.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains patient records and schedules appointments in IDX.
- Answers phones, greets patients, verifies correct billing information and prepares chart for office visit.
- Assists with the clinical work up of patients, including visual acuity, applanation pressures, history, keratometry, autorefraction, color vision, stereopsis and EYESYS.
- Instructs patient in the proper care and insertion/removal of contact lenses. Modifies and/or polishes contacts.
- Maintains inventory of materials and cleans instruments. Maintains examination rooms and supplies.

Required Qualifications
Education:

Salary Range
$17.34 - $25.40 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
