OPS WGCU Audio Video Technician
Job Summary
Audio Video Tech will record audio for all WGCU studio productions. Assist in all aspects of production as assigned by production manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate audio board to record primary audio for studio productions.
- Ensure audio is up to broadcast quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues with a sense of urgency.
- Oversee studio audio set-ups including microphones on guests.
- Assist video editors with audio levels, best practices and creative uses of audio to enhance video productions.
- Serve as essential personnel to assist with broadcasts in emergency situations.
Other Duties
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
4 years of professional related experience or an associate's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with audio editing and mastering.
- Broadcast audio and video experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Skilled at operating an audio board for studio and/or live productions.
- Skilled in current digital audio editing and Adobe software applications.
- Ability to assist in live, multi-camera studio productions.
- Ability to diffuse and respond professionally to stressful and difficult situations.
