The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Faculty is responsible for educating predoctoral dental students and advanced education residents... Specific duties include:

• Provision of instruction in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to predoctoral dental students...
• Assessment of student achievement...
• Provision of instruction to advanced education residents...
• Provision of direct patient care including maxillofacial trauma...
• Participate as a member of the Craniofacial Team...
• Provision of care while participating on ECU Health Facial Trauma Call
• Working closely with the Division Director...
• Assisting the Division Director...
• Conducting basic and/or clinical research...
• Service on committees...
• Preparation of accreditation...
• Attending meetings...

Minimum Education/Experience:

• DDS or DMD (or equivalent)...
• Demonstrated expertise in dental education
• Completion of an advanced specialty education program...
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons who have completed specialty training...
• Eligibility for dental licensure in North Carolina...
• Board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

License or Certification Required: Eligibility for dental licensure in North Carolina (a NC dental license must be secured prior to the first day of employment)
