Outdoor Programs Coordinator
Position Purpose
This position reports to the Director of Student Wellness, Recreation, & Athletics and as a member of the Student Wellness, Recreation, & Athletics (SWRA) administrative team, provides leadership within the department, and the Student Equity, Engagement, and Support (SEES) division of the College. The position coordinates efforts within the unit and with others across the institution to provide collaborative leadership for outdoor recreation programs which engage students with the physical component of holistic wellness, fostering student learning and success. The incumbent contributes to creating an inclusive and respectful student community and conveys a passion for student development, engagement, and wellness and enhancing opportunities and experiences for all students to succeed.
The position requires a range of demonstrated competencies in the field of outdoor recreation/education, outdoor leadership, climbing gym management, and development of student employees, as well as an understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Evergreen State College.
This is a full-time, overtime eligible position on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules.
Salary and Benefits: $4,498 – $5,353 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
