Outpatient RN - Infusion
Scope of Position:

The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.
Position Summary:
The Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Minimum Education Required:
- 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio licensure or interim permit. Previous surgical center experience preferred.
RNs in the Non-Oncology Infusion Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center provide outpatient IV therapy for patients receiving non-cancerrelated treatments. Nurses deliver and monitor biologics, hydration, therapeutic injections, and other infusion medications while performing focused assessments and ensuring safe, evidence-based care. The role offers a structured, appointment-based workflow, strong collaboration with infusion pharmacy and specialty providers, and the opportunity to build ongoing relationships with patients managing chronic conditions.
(4, 9-hr shifts Mon-Fri 7a-4:30p) with occasional weekend on-call (roughly 4-5 times per year).
