As Outreach and Partnerships Coordinator you will play a key role in strengthening the University’s presence across the Upper Hunter by connecting regional communities with meaningful education opportunities.

You will help shape a coordinated approach to regional engagement by guiding collaborative projects, supporting local capability building, and ensuring our programs genuinely meet community needs.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and coordinate regionally focused initiatives through the Hunter Pathways Working Group, driving projects that support regional development, innovation, and participation in further education.
  • Build and nurture partnerships across schools, community organisations, government, business, and industry to co-design activities, strengthen outreach, and elevate the University’s regional impact.
  • Integrate and enhance enabling and pathway programs by aligning University-led activities with local priorities and ensuring they are accessible, relevant, and responsive.
  • Provide informed advice to senior leaders to support decision-making on collaborative opportunities and cross‑University alignment.

This fixed term position is until 31 December 2026, is full time, and will be located at UON Upper Hunter in Muswellbrook.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience building strong stakeholder relationships, particularly within community, government, industry, or education settings.
  • Strong analytical and organisational capability, with the ability to navigate complex issues, manage competing deadlines, and contribute to high‑quality reports, submissions, and strategic advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, exercise sound judgement, and maintain confidentiality.
  • The ability to travel throughout NSW as required to support engagement activities and partnership development.

The remuneration for this position is Higher Education Worker Level 8 (from $116,596 p.a.) + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
