Position Summary
The Outreach, Recruitment & Communications Project Navigator
exists to support the successful implementation of Sinclair
Community College’s NSF Advanced Technological Education project by
increasing awareness of and participation in the Building
Automation Systems ( BAS )-integrated HVAC program. The position
provides dedicated coordination of student recruitment, community
and K–12 outreach, and project communications to build a strong
pipeline of prospective students into BAS / HVAC education and
career pathways.
The salary for this position begins at $59,661.00 and is
commensurate with education and experience. This position is grant
funded anticipated to continue through September 30 2029, subject
to continued availability of grant funds.

Principal Accountabilities
Student Recruitment and Outreach
- Develop and coordinate recruitment and outreach activities that
increase awareness of Sinclair’s HVAC and Building Automation
Systems ( BAS ) educational pathways and generate interest among
prospective students
Prospective Student Engagement and Follow-Up
- Serve as a point of contact for prospective students; provide
program and career pathway information; coordinate follow-up
activities that support students from initial interest through
application and enrollment
Project Communications and Marketing
- Coordinate development and distribution of print, digital, web,
and social media communications that promote the BAS / HVAC
program, NSF project activities, educational opportunities, and
related career pathways
K–12, Community, and Partner Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, career
technical education programs, community organizations, employers,
and other partners to expand awareness of BAS / HVAC education and
career opportunities
Recruitment Events, Lab Tours, and Industry Showcases
- Plan, coordinate, and support campus visits, BAS / HVAC lab
tours, recruitment events, career events, and industry showcase
activities for prospective students, families, educators, and
community partners
Tracking, Assessment, and Project Support
- Maintain outreach and recruitment records, track participation
and engagement, contribute information needed for NSF project
reporting and evaluation, and use results to improve recruitment
and communication activities
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of
education and experience required, with experience in higher
education, community college recruitment, workforce development, or
technical education preferred
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships
with K–12/ CTE schools, students, families, educators, community
partners, and other stakeholders preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and
relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively
communicate with diverse audiences required
- Experience with marketing, digital communications, social
media, outreach, and/or recruitment strategies preferred
- Strong organizational, project management, and event
coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
and work independently or collaboratively required
- Familiarity with workforce development, technical education,
HVAC, Building Automation Systems ( BAS ), skilled trades, or other
technical career pathways preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate technical
education programs, career pathways, and opportunities to students,
families, educators, and community partners required
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally work evenings or
weekends to support recruitment, school, community, and industry
events
