Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) is a statewide service with a robust local presence. This is a part-time, 20-hour-a-week position.
This position is Ongoing/Renewable.
This person is expected to support regional events. As such, the work schedule will require flexibility and will be determined after hire. Some nights and weekends will be required.
This position requires work be performed in-person at Green Bay, Wisconsin. Occasional workplace flexibility may be granted depending on business need.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally needed. Ability to work outside in inclement weather may be needed.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program
- Leads the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
- May assist with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending
- Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials
- Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
- Schedules and secures resources and communicates logistics in support of an outreach program

Wisconsin Public Radio has bureaus all across the state. The Outreach Specialist position will be hired in Green Bay, Eau Claire and Wausau. These positions will report to the Regional Manager and will be joining a team that is based across the state.

Compensation
The expected pay for this position is between $24.00 to $27.00 per hour. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate internally within an organization.
- Demonstrated organizational skills including the ability to work within tight deadlines and manage details.
- Valid Driver's License that meets UW Risk Management Standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in the area of outreach, engagement or event planning.
- Experience using cloud-based technology (Google, Zoom, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience developing external partnerships.
Education
Bachelor's degree with a focus in marketing, communications or public relations is preferred.
