P/T Building Maintenance Technician for Housing (Temporary)
Position Announcement
Under the leadership of the Building Maintenance Supervisor for Housing, this position provides general building maintenance and repairs for on-campus student housing facilities. This position is temporary for the month of May, possibly longer if needed. The shift will be Mon-Fri with 20-39 hours a week between 8am-5pm. The starting wage is $15+ depending on experience. Responsibilities
- Provide general building maintenance and repairs for on-campus student housing facilities
- Provide in-house services for light general repair requests by performing basic household plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to lift or move heavy parcels over 50 pounds
- Basic knowledge of computers (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, email)
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and those contracted in the scope of work
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
