Position Announcement
Utah Tech University's Higher Education for Incarcerated Youth (HEIY) program seeks a highly organized, operationally focused professional to support the continued growth and effectiveness of this expanding program. This position plays a critical role in developing and refining internal processes, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring incarcerated youth have access to university academic resources.
We are looking for an individual who will bring strong administrative or academic experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to integrate digital technologies in support of students served within multiple correctional settings throughout the State of Utah.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously refine standardized workflows for student enrollment, scholarship tracking, academic progress monitoring, reporting, and overall program operations to ensure sustainability, scalability, and compliance with university and partner agency requirements.
- Coordinate between Utah Tech University and partner agencies, including the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Utah Division of Juvenile Justice and Youth Services (JJYS), coordinating logistics, maintaining accurate records, and preparing required internal and external reports.
- Utilize and integrate web-based technologies to support student tracking, communication, and remote content delivery; coordinate secure virtual engagement through platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams; and assist in implementing digital tools that enhance instructional access and student engagement.
- Identify gaps in curriculum access, communication flow, technology integration, and student support systems, recommending and implementing process improvements to strengthen operational efficiency, student outcomes, and long-term program growth.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least one (1) year of experience in program coordination, academic administration, operations management, or related field.
- Strong organizational and process-development skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based technologies.
- Knowledge of and strict adherence to FERPA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved or justice-involved populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a field related to the required skills and qualifications.
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit, government, laboratory management, or structured operational environments.
- Experience working with justice-involved populations or in correctional settings.
- Experience with data reporting, grant-funded programs, or compliance documentation

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Part-time hourly staff position (up to 29 hours per week) Hourly rate of $20.00-23.00/hr, depending on experience.
