Position Announcement
Part-Time Receiving Lead for the Corner Market assisting with receiving operations
Responsibilities
- Assist with employee scheduling to ensure proper staff coverage during store hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Help supervise employees on shift, ensuring tasks are completed and store standards are followed.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist with product ordering, vendor deliveries, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Receive deliveries, unload trucks, stock shelves, and track inventory levels.
- Provide excellent customer service and help resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Assist in maintaining point-of-sale systems and store technology used in daily operations.
- Help implement strategies to improve sales, maintain product availability, and keep the store organized and well stocked.
- Support overall store operations and assist with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred but not required.
- At least 2 years of retail experience, preferably in grocery, convenience store, or food service environments.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in the mornings and some weekends as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly and assist with stocking, receiving, and inventory.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, especially with inventory, ordering, and store operations.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and help manage daily store operations.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required. Training will be provided if needed.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Part-time hourly staff position (20-25 hours per week) Hourly rate of $16 per hour. The schedule will include some flexibility of setting hours based on availability; however, set hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are required. Workload will be lighter during the summer and school breaks.
