About The Role

The Paralegal will join Swansea University’s Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Service and support the work of the Contracts Team.

The post focuses on helping to prepare, review and manage research and commercial agreements that underpin the University’s collaborations. Working closely with senior colleagues in the Contracts Team, you will assist with drafting agreements, coordinating contract approvals and supporting negotiations with external partners.

You will also help manage the flow of agreements through the Contracts Team, ensuring documents are completed correctly, records are maintained and queries from academics and professional services colleagues are handled promptly. The work involves regular contact with researchers, faculty based RKE staff and external partners.

The Contracts Team sits within Swansea University’s RKE Service and works closely with colleagues across the University to support the delivery of research projects.

You will also support the administration of contracts across the team, including maintaining contract records, managing filing and ensuring documents are stored correctly within the University’s contract management systems.

The post offers an opportunity to gain experience of research contracts, intellectual property and commercial agreements in a busy research environment.
