Job Competencies
- Strong project/time management skills are essential.
- Excellent planning, organizational, time management, and
problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented, creative, and able
to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with a CRM database, spreadsheet, and word
processing applications, including Google Suite, Microsoft Word,
and Excel, along with demonstrated comfort in dealing with calendar
programs, social media, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills,
as well as proofreading ability, are required; must be able to
communicate with a varied University constituency.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills; must be a
"self-starter", with the ability to work independently and also as
a member of a collaborative team. Commitment to working in a team
environment is essential.
- Communicate the University's priorities to a broad range of
constituents, including Corporation members and major and principal
gift prospects.
- This position requires occasional travel, and the incumbent
must be available to work some evenings and weekends, including
Brown's annual Commencement-Reunion Weekend.
Preferred Qualifications
- Brown experience preferred.
- Knowledge of event planning with a focus on philanthropy.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud preferred
