Part-Time Adjunct Instructor - Portuguese
Job Description
Southwestern Community College District is seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach Portuguese. The ideal candidate can teach beginning and intermediate levels in-person and/or hybrid modalities. This position may include a combination of day, evening, and weekend assignments at our Chula Vista campus.
Provides instruction on Interpretive, Presentational and Interpersonal Communication (as per ACTFL) in Portuguese, as well as an emphasis on the products, practices and perspectives of Lusophone culture.
Qualifications
Master's in Portuguese OR Bachelor's in Portuguese AND Master's in another language or linguistics OR the equivalent.
Additional assessment is required for applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States. Applicants must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) and must submit a copy of the evaluation with the application.
