Part-time and Limited Term Faculty Positions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the academic year 2026-2027. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in solid mechanics, aerospace engineering and/or capstone design.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
To teach undergraduate courses: A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire. OR A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
To teach graduate courses: A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FEA software (SolidWorks, ANSYS or NASTRAN)
- Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses level
