Part-time CREU Program Coordinator (0.5 FTE)
Job Summary
This part-time, 0.5 FTE position will coordinate all aspects of the externally sponsored Cancer Research Experience for Undergraduates (CREU) Fellowship Program - a highly competitive short-term research fellowship program for undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain program website and databases, including applications.
- Organize and manage competitive review processes with faculty reviewers.
- Compile program metrics and analyze feedback surveys.
- Collaborate with CU Evaluation Center on evaluation plans.
- Recruit and coordinate faculty for lectures, workshops, and mentoring roundtables.
- Organize biotech company visits, networking events, and the annual Poster Session.
- Develop processes and marketing strategies to boost applications.
- Recruit mentors, manage profiles, and match students with mentors.
- Serve as main contact for applicants/mentors and advise students throughout the program.
- Coordinate peer mentors from graduate and medical schools.
- Assist with grant reports, funding applications, and program accounts.
- Submit progress/expenditure reports to sponsors and manage donor funding.
- Process honorarium payments for external lecturers.
- Partner with HR on hiring paperwork, background checks, payroll, and building access.
- Coordinate travel and housing for out-of-state students.
Work Location
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year of experience coordinating educational programs in an academic institution.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience planning large events.
- Experience working with CU Concur Travel & Expense System.
- Experience with CU EMS Scheduling system.
- Experience with CU Marketplace system.
Conditions of Employment
- This position is not eligible now or in the future for visa sponsorship.
- This position may require some off-site presence at special functions.
- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office/2 days remote.
- This position is sedentary: Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Anticipated Pay Range
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this part-time (0.5 FTE) position has been established as $24,995 - $31,157.
