Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare materials needed for instruction, labs, and supplies;
- Provide basic lab maintenance and track inventory of equipment and tools utilized;
- Relate instruction and material to course objectives;
- Discuss and demonstrate workplace safety, personal/patient safety and infection control;
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with students, other faculty and staff;
- Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in a timely manner;
- Prepare students to sit for the national certification clinical medical assistant credential through the National Heathcareer Association (NHA).
Required Qualifications
- Must have active certification CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA
- have at least 5 years experience practicing as a clinical medical assistant
- have at least 1 year of teacher/trainer experience
- previous teaching experience preferred
