Part-Time Faculty: Code as a Liberal Art
Eugene Lang College, the undergraduate liberal arts division of The New School, invites applications from qualified scholars and practitioners for part-time faculty positions teaching hybrid theory/practice courses in Code as a Liberal Art, a critical computer science program that offers hands-on coding instruction within an arts, humanities, and social sciences curriculum.

- Distant reading, natural language processing, and other techniques in the digital humanities;
- Critical interventions in the development & deployment of large language models & other AI technologies;
- Techniques for identifying and redressing racial, ethnic, and gender bias in software systems;
- Software and disability;
- Low carbon computing and other studies of digital technology & the environment;
- Critical game studies and game development;
- Algorithmic and quantitative research methods;
- The infrastructure, geography, and political economy of digital networks;
