"Part Time Faculty, Criminology Program"

Position Description

The Criminology program within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching opportunities. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year. This position is ideal for practitioners, researchers, and experienced educators seeking to contribute to the academic development of undergraduate students in criminology and criminal justice.

Courses are not guaranteed as academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter; however, the program does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Part-time faculty typically teach one to two classes an academic year.

Qualifications

MA/MS in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related fields and/or JD for specific courses. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related field.

Salary Information

The anticipated hiring rate of this position is between $4,500 and $5,600 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
