Part-time Faculty, Philosophy
Teach entry-level, and occasional upper-level, courses in philosophy including Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Professional Ethics, Business Ethics, Engineering Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Criminal Justice Ethics, and Philosophy of Science. Must be able to provide regular in-person instruction as assigned.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.
Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be made at YSU's main location in Youngstown, Ohio, the Steubenville, Ohio location, or for remote courses. Must be able to provide regular in-person instruction as assigned.
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: At least an earned master's degree in philosophy or terminal degree in another equivalent related field. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Proof of excellence in teaching and experience with both face-to-face and online instruction.
