Essential Functions:

1. Payroll Processing Support:

• Assist in organizing electronic timesheets;
• Verifying hours worked;
• Contacting supervisors for approvals and confirmations;
• Inputting payroll data into the electronic payroll system.

2. Record Maintenance:

• Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining physical and digital employee payroll files with high accuracy;
• Organize paychecks and pay stubs for mailing or pickup.

3. Inquiry Handling:

• Serve as a point of contact for basic employee questions regarding payroll;
• Assist employees needing payroll forms including tax and direct deposit forms.

4. General Administration:

• Assist with filing, scanning, mailing and other general office tasks as directed by the Payroll Manager;
• Cross reference reports for accuracy and for determining discrepancies;
• Other duties as requested or assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with electronic payroll systems, especially ADP Workforce Now.
• Prior experience working in a payroll office and/or working in a higher education institution.

Salary Range:

$22.00 to $25.00 an hour
