Part-time Phlebotomist (at the rank of Laboratory Assistant) in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health (Ref: 534431) (to commence as soon as possible for three months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should have completed Form 5 and be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong, preferably with at least one year’s experience in phlebotomy. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and good interpersonal and communication skills. They should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Experience in performing venepuncture on elderly is highly preferred.

The appointee will assist in the “Hong Kong Elderly Biobank” research project. He/She will collect blood samples from study participants in community health centres across 18 districts in Hong Kong. He/She will work during daytime on weekdays for no more than 15 hours per week, and may work outside normal office hours or on weekends occasionally.
