Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating a research project, “Feasibility and acceptability of implementation of mindfulness-based intervention for community-dwelling older adults with emigrant children suffering from loneliness: a pilot randomized controlled trial”.
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- conducting literature review on relevant topics;
- recruiting research participants;
- assisting in conducting interventions such as preparing education video clips);
- assisting in data collection, including surveys and interviews;
- performing quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis; and
- providing research-related assistance.
He/she will be normally assigned to work less than 68 hours per four consecutive weeks.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- a recognized Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare, social work, social science, psychology or related disciplines;
- proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage;
- a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); and
- a good team player and able to coordinate research projects independently.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
