Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following. The appointees will be required to assist in, and where necessary, undertake course planning, development and delivery of the full-time face-to-face undergraduate programmes. Major duties include conducting tutorials, marking assignments/examination scripts and performing other related teaching and administrative duties. Requirements for the relevant course (s) are specified as follows:
· BSCI 2013AEF Sociology of Health in Nursing
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Sociology or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
· COUN 4002AEF Family Counselling
Applicants should possess a master degree or higher, in Psychology, Counseling or a related discipline. They should have verified professional counselling experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
· COUN A312F Family Counselling
Applicants should possess a master degree or higher, in Psychology, Counseling or a related discipline. They should have verified professional counselling experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
· PSYC 2001AEF Positive Psychology and Mental Health
Applicants should possess a higher degree, in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage.
· SOCI 3007AEF Social Policy and Social Administration
Applicants should possess a higher degree in Sociology, Social Policy Studies or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level would be an advantage.
· SOCI A323F Social Policy and Social Administration
Applicants should possess a higher degree in Sociology, Social Policy Studies or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level would be an advantage.
Duration of Appointment
The appointees will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from September 2026 to January 2027 for a maximum of 16.5 hours per week.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
