Patient Relations Specialist

Involves providing a bridge between medical centers and patients / families. Services include coordination of communication between patients, families and medical staff, providing patients with information on hospital services, procedures and protocols, and ensuring all concerns and complaints are directed to appropriate units within the medical center for resolution. This position coordinates review of, and response to, complaints and grievances under strict timeframes, as mandated by regulatory requirements.

Responsible for supporting the Decedent Affairs department in meeting County, State and Federal regulations. Ensures smooth functioning of Hyde and Stanyan campuses, including maintaining optimal work relationships with internal partners, (Nursing Leadership, Pathology, Medical Providers, Quality & Safety, Palliative Care teams).

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $90,828 - $132,755 (Annual Rate).
