Patient Services Associate
We are actively seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for patients, families, and employees.
Patient Services Associate will provide clerical services in an outpatient setting while providing excellent customer service to patients and providers and maintaining a demeanor complementary to medical ethics and the University's mission, values, and goals.
- Performs Clerical & Radiology duties as directed by supervisor or lead.
- Interact with patients, staff, and providers in a spirit of customer service, cooperation, and teamwork.
- Demonstrate proper leadership and communication skills when assisting patients, staff, or providers with problem resolution.
- Maintains proper attendance.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Dress appropriately and within departmental guidelines.
- Assist all co-workers, patients, and interdepartmental staff as needed or as it pertains to your duties.
- Coordinate and schedule Radiology procedures.
- Receive and assist patients, visitors, and staff
- Other duties as assigned

Experience in customer service and/or healthcare settings.
Previous experience with MiChart, Radiant, Orthopedics, and Radiology is desired.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
